The Feinbloom brothers founded Champion, an American sportswear and apparel company, in 1919. Initially known as the Champion Knitting Mills and based in Rochester, New York, the business began to manufacture sports attire during the early 1930s. This propelled it to become one of America’s most prominent producers of sportswear. Nowadays it is a subsidiary of HanesBrands Inc.
