Established in 1899 by J.A Dickson in a small workshop in Montreal, CCM (previously known as Canadian Cycling Manufacturers) grew to become one of the premier manufacturers of ice hockey equipment. This includes sticks, skates, helmets, and gloves. In the early 1900s, CCM began manufacturing skates for hockey and eventually gained worldwide recognition for their products. In the 1980’s, CCM was taken over by Schwinn, a bicycle manufacturer. It then went on to become a division of the CCM-Tacks Sports Group. Presently, their reputation lies in creating top-notch hockey gear for players at all levels of the game.
