WNBA Basketball Teams in Alphabetical Order

The Women’s National Basketball Association (WNBA) consists of 12 teams. Teams are divided into 2 conferences, the Eastern Conference and the Western Conference.

The WNBA, founded in 1996 and affiliated with the NBA, is a professional basketball league consisting of twelve teams in the United States. It is the premier women’s basketball association in the world.

The WNBA’s regular season, consisting of a 34-game schedule for each team, runs from May to September. At the conclusion of the regular season, the top 8 teams compete in the playoffs and eventually face off in the WNBA Finals. Notable players include Sue Bird, Diana Taurasi, and Candace Parker. In addition to its regular season and playoff games, other events such as the WNBA All-Star Game and Draft are also hosted by the league.
